Three common ways to use it

From a single clip to an entire channel.

Quality 🎙️

4K / 8K as uploaded

Fetches the highest stream the site offers, downloads picture and sound separately, then merges them losslessly.

  • Picks the best combination automatically
  • Lossless container merge, no re-encode
  • Original codecs are preserved
✏️

One-click 320k MP3

When you only need the sound, the audio track is extracted and converted to MP3 with cover art and tags filled in.

  • Highest MP3 bitrate available
  • Cover art and metadata embedded
  • Works across a whole playlist
🎬

Subtitles in many languages

Save subtitles as standalone SRT files or alongside the video — handy for re-editing and translation.

  • Manual and auto-generated tracks
  • Pick languages; grab several at once
  • Converted to the universal SRT format

Why this one

A mature open-source engine behind an interface that gets out of the way.

🔒

Merges audio and video itself

FFmpeg is bundled, so the picture and the sound come out as one usable file without extra installs.

🌍

Resumable downloads

If the connection drops, it continues from where it stopped instead of starting over.

📚

A real download queue

Queue as many jobs as you like, set how many run at once, and watch them all progress.

🔌

Engine updates itself

When a site changes, the download engine updates in the background — no reinstalling the whole app.

🗣️

Works with logged-in content

For videos that need a sign-in, import your browser cookies once and they download normally.

⚡

Proxy and speed limit

Supports HTTP and SOCKS proxies, and can cap the transfer rate so it does not saturate your link.

Frequently asked

Is it really free?

Yes. It is built on the open-source yt-dlp engine, the interface is open to everyone, and there are no ads or paywalls.

If it helps you, passing it on to someone who needs it is the best thanks.

Which sites are supported? What about Douyin?

The engine is yt-dlp, covering 2000+ sites including YouTube, Bilibili, Douyin, TikTok, Twitter/X and Instagram. Douyin works, but needs cookies and a full video link.

You can paste the entire share sentence from the Douyin app; short links are converted to the standard URL automatically.

Why does Windows warn about an unknown publisher?

The installer is not code-signed. Windows shows this warning for every unsigned program; it does not indicate a problem with the file.

Choose "More info" then "Run anyway" to continue.

Downloads are slow — what can I do?

First check whether the site itself is throttling. Raising the fragment concurrency in Settings usually helps noticeably.

If your network struggles to reach the site, set a proxy address in Settings.

Can it download 4K or 8K?

Yes, as long as the source offers that resolution and your account is entitled to it.

Some high-bitrate formats require a login; import cookies and they become selectable.

Where do files go?

By default into a StreamGrab folder inside your Downloads; Settings can point it anywhere.

Do you collect my data?

No. Parsing and downloading happen on your machine; your links, cookies and history never leave it.

The app makes one request to an update service at startup to check the engine version.
